Preparing for your Bathroom Remodel

Remodeling a bathroom can feel like a big undertaking. If you’re able to prepare properly, it can make the process much easier for everyone involved.

Clear the Clutter:

We prefer a clean slate! Please remove everything personal from your counters, cabinets, and open shelves.

Our Pro Tip:

We suggest getting your hands on a few storage containers. Before your project is underway, you may be able to store many things away in an extra room or closet.

Creating a Path:

If the path to your bathroom has a hallway or tight entry, please remove pictures and artwork from the walls so we can avoid bumping them as we work in your home. We will be moving heavy goods and equipment, so a clear path helps us keep your belongings safe.

Minimizing Kitchen Disruption

We know that losing your kitchen is the biggest challenge of any remodel. We totally get it! This is why we will do everything in our power to reduce your downtime.

Time to Pack:

Your preparation for a kitchen remodel looks a lot like moving. All of your dishes and glasses in your cabinets will need to be packed away and the counters cleared of any small appliances.

Your Essential Survival Kit:

Don't forget to create an easily accessible box of essentials! That way, you can still manage some basic cooking while the renovation is underway.

Minimizing Kitchen Disruption

Options for You:

Please let us know if you would like access to our kitchen remodel supplies. When desired, we will provide our kitchen clients with a two-burner hot plate, wash basins and a 5 gallon water tank with a dispenser for handwashing. This can allow our customers to still cook and clean without a fully functional kitchen.

Clear the Area:

Furniture in the work area should be cleared to provide as much room as possible. We may require some additional space in the garage to stage your new cabinets and kitchen materials.

Prepping for New Flooring

You have made an outstanding decision by addressing the most utilized surface in your home!

  • Pre-Pack: Just like the kitchen, clear out all odds and ends from any furniture in the work area.
  • We Help With Heavy Lifting: Don’t worry if you are unable to move some of your heavier furniture around. Our team is here to do the heavy lifting. Just let us know beforehand so we can arrange accordingly.

Getting Walls Ready for Painting

Painting can breathe new life into a room, and a little preparation will make the job flawless

Walls Go Bare:

Please remove everything hanging on your walls and ceiling.

Mark Your Spots:

If there are specific picture hooks or screws you want to stay exactly where they are, please mark them! We will remove all other hardware, patch the holes, and paint.

Dust & Dirt:

Are your walls particularly dusty or dirty? A quick wipe-down or vacuum of cobwebs in corners will do us a favor and allow us to finish in a timely manner.

Centralized Furniture:

Please move all your large furniture to the middle of the room. If you can leave a distinct boundary (preferably 3-4 feet) on all walls, that would be ideal.

Cabinetry & Closets:

If we’re painting cabinets or closets, please empty all belongings out of those spaces. We'll take care of covering the floors to prevent any paint drips.
